Ο Α.Σ.Καρδίτσας κάνει την ακόλουθη ανακοίνωση:
 
«Ο Βαγγέλης Μπράχος, αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο μέρος της ιστορίας του Α.Σ.Καρδίτσας, έχει προσφέρει ανεκτίμητες υπηρεσίες στο σωματείο και για δεκατρία συνεχόμενα χρόνια φόρεσε τη φανέλα της ομάδας. Με την αγωνιστική του παρουσία και την προσωπικότητά του, στήριξε όσο λίγοι τον Α.Σ.Καρδίτσας, αλλά και συνολικά το μπάσκετ της Καρδίτσας.  Ως αρχηγός της ομάδας σήκωσε το κύπελλο και το πρωτάθλημα Θεσσαλίας την περίοδο 2013-14, ενώ ήταν πάντοτε παρών στις χαρές αλλά και τις δύσκολες στιγμές, αγωνιζόμενος με πάθος και αυταπάρνηση. Η παρουσία και η προσφορά του όλα αυτά τα χρόνια αποτελούν τιμή για το σωματείο μας.
Ο Α.Σ.Κ. σέβεται απόλυτα την επιθυμία του Βαγγέλη Μπράχου για τη μεταγραφή του στο συμπολίτη Ήφαιστο και θεωρεί υποχρέωση να τον ευχαριστήσει για όλα όσα πρόσφερε στο σύλλογο αλλά και στο μπάσκετ της Καρδίτσας, κάτι που θα πάρει επίσημο χαρακτήρα την κατάλληλη στιγμή. Ευχόμαστε στο Βαγγέλη υγεία και πάντα επιτυχίες».
