Ο Δήμος Σοφάδων, κάθε χρόνο τιμά τη μνήμη του αγρότη – αγωνιστή Χρήστου Σάλτα. Ο Χρήστος Σάλτας , καταγόταν από το Ανώγειο και αποτέλεσε το πρώτο θύμα των γεγονότων της Θεσσαλικής εξέγερσης των Κολίγων του 1910.
 Από την ημέρα της δολοφονίας του, στις 27 Φεβρουαρίου 1910, κατέχει τη δική του ξεχωριστή θέση στην ιστορική μνήμη του τόπου μας.
Έτσι και φέτος την Κυριακή 16 Μαρτίου 2014 και ώρα 11:00 π.μ, θα τελεστεί η καθιερωμένη επιμνημόσυνη δέηση στην πλατεία της Τοπικής Κοινότητας Ανωγείου, στο χώρο που δεσπόζει η προτομή του αγωνιστή,
Το πρόγραμμα της εκδήλωσης έχει ως εξής :
  • Επιμνημόσυνη δέηση στην προτομή του αγωνιστή Χρήστου Σάλτα
  • Χαιρετισμός Δημάρχου Σοφάδων Μπάμπη Παπαδόπουλου
  • Κατάθεση στεφάνων
