Η Ημέρα Εθνικής Μνήμης της Γενοκτονίας των Ελλήνων της Μικράς Ασίας από το Τουρκικό Κράτος καθιερώθηκε με ομόφωνη απόφαση της Βουλής των Ελλήνων το 1998 και τιμάται κάθε χρόνο στις 14 Σεπτεμβρίου.

Στην Καρδίτσα τελέσθει Θεια Λειτουργία και επιμνημόσυνη δέηση καθώς και κατάθεση στεφάνων στο μνημείο πεσόντων στον Μητροπολιτικό Ναο Αγίων Κωνσταντίνου και Ελένης

Στην Θεια Λειτουργία και την επιμνημόσυνη δέηση χοροστάτησε ο Μητροπολίτης Θεσσαλιώτιδος κ Φαναριοφερσάλων κκ Τιμόθεος ,παρέστησανη βουλετής Καρδιτσας Ασημίνα Σκόνδρα ο αντιπεριφερειάρχης Καρδίτσας Βασιλης Τσιάκος,η αντιδήμαρχος Καρδίτσας Ελένη Αντωνίου δημοτικοί σύμβουλοι δικαστικές αρχές καθώς και στρατιωτικές αρχές και αρχές των σωμάτων ασφαλείας και εκπρόσωποι πολιτιστικών συλλόγων .
Ακολούθησε κατάθεση στεφανων και νωρίτερα ανεγνώσθη ο πανηγυρικός της ημέρας
