Για την ενίσχυση της συλλογής τροφίμων, φαρμάκων και ρούχων, οι μαθητές μετά την πρωτοβουλία των εκπαιδευτικών Κουτούβα Ιωάννας και Θεοδωράκη Ελένης του 1ου ΕΠΑ.Λ Καρδίτσας, ανταποκρίθηκαν στο κάλεσμα του Περιφερειακού Διευθυντή Π.&Δ. Εκπαίδευσης Βορείου Αιγαίου κ. Αριστείδη Καλάργαλη. Κινητοποίησαν άμεσα τους μαθητές και τους εκπαιδευτικούς του σχολείου και συγκέντρωσαν στο Εργατικό Κέντρο Καρδίτσας είδη πρώτης ανάγκης για τους πρόσφυγες-μετανάστες που φιλοξενούνται στη Λέσβο. Είναι μία ακόμα αξιέπαινη προσπάθεια του 1ου ΕΠΑΛ Καρδίτσας, που σε αυτή τη δύσκολη για την κοινωνία μας συγκυρία, σκέφτεται το συνάνθρωπο που υποφέρει δίπλα μας.
