Φιλικο σε ρυθμούς πρωταθλήματος ήταν αυτό με την Λαμια και του ΣΠΑΚ.η Ομάδα της Καρδίτσας στα πρώτα δυο σετ βρέθηκε μουδιασμένη με συχνά ξεσπάσματα και στο τρίτο σετ άρχισε το ‘’ ξυπνημα’’ του Θάνου  και με τις δυνατές άμυνες και δυο ‘’άσσους’’ του Παπαγεωργίου που πετυχε στις πρώτες επαφές όταν ο πίνακας έδειχνε 12-12 ,η ψυχολογία έδειχνε ότι το παιχνίδι εστω και φιλικά θα ‘’γύριζε’’ αλλά η πείρα της Λαμίας σταμάτησε το σετ στο 1-2 και οδήγησε το ματς σε ένα όμορφο τρίτο σετ οπου ειδαμε δυνατές άμυνες και από τις δυο ομάδες και εγραψε το τελικο 1-3
