Μετά από συγκλονιστικό αγώνα ο ΣΠΑ Καρδίτσας νίκησε 3-2 τη ΜΕΝΤ στο ντέρμπι της 2ης αγωνιστικής της Β΄ φάσης του Κυπέλλου ανδρών. Ο αγώνας ήταν διαφήμιση για το βόλεϊ στο κατάμεστο γυμναστήριο της Καρδίτσας και όλα τα σετ κρίθηκαν στον πόντο


. Η ΜΕΝΤ που είναι αήττητη στο πρωτάθλημα του Γ΄ομίλου Α2 ανδρών γνώρισε την πρώτη της ήττα. Ο ΣΠΑΚ παρότι βρέθηκε πίσω στο σκορ με 1-0 και 2-1 σετ κατάφερε να κάνει δύο ανατροπές. Μάλιστα στο 4ο σετ η ΜΕΝΤ προηγήθηκε 20-17 αλλά δε μπόρεσε να τελειώσει τον αγώνα και ο ΣΠΑΚ πήρε τη νίκη και μαζί και την πρόκριση που πανηγυρίστηκε έξαλλα από τους παίκτες του Νεδηλάκη.
