 Ο Ρώσος Πρόεδρος Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν έθεσε σε κατάσταση ύψιστου συναγερμού τις ένοπλες δυνάμεις της κεντρικής Ρωσίας από τις 10.00 σήμερα το πρωί (ώρα Ελλάδας) ανακοίνωσε το υπουργείο Άμυνας, λίγες ώρες αφότου η Μόσχα επιβεβαίωσε ότι έχει ενισχύσει τη στρατιωτική παρουσία της στα σύνορά της με την Ουκρανία.

«Σύμφωνα με την εντολή του (Ρώσου προέδρου) από τις 11.00 ώρα Μόσχας οι δυνάμεις της Κεντρικής Στρατιωτικής Περιφέρειας καθώς και οι στρατιωτικές μονάδες που βρίσκονται στην περιοχή αυτή τέθηκαν σε κατάσταση ύψιστου συναγερμού» ανέφερε ο υπουργός Άμυνας Σεργκέι Σόιγκου, σύμφωνα με τα ρωσικά ειδησεογραφικά πρακτορεία.
