Έντονο φραστικό επεισόδιο μεταξύ των Σερραίων αγροτών και του υπουργού αγροτικής ανάπτυξης, Αθανάσιο Τσαυτάρη.

Εξοργισμένοι οι Σερραίοι αγρότες αποχώρησαν από το ΥΜΑΘ, κατηγορώντας τον υπουργό αγροτικής ανάπτυξης ότι τους εμπαίζει κι ότι κάνει διαχωρισμό μεταξύ των αγροτών.

Μάταια ο κ. Τσαυτάρης προσπαθούσε να τους ηρεμήσει. Το γεγονός ότι δεν έκατσε καν στο τραπέζι μαζί τους, τους εξόργισε ακόμη περισσότερο με συνέπεια οι αγρότες να αποχωρήσουν φωνάζοντας και λέγοντας στον υπουργό ότι είναι ανεπιθύμητος στο μπλόκο τους στις Σέρρες. Ρόλο "πυροσβέστη" προσπαθούσε να αναλάβει ο υπουργός Μακεδονίας- Θράκης κ. Καράογλου για να δεχθεί και αυτός τα πυρά των αγροτών
