Στόχος δολιοφθορέων και πλιατσικολόγων έγινε για μια ακόμη φορά μέσα σε διάστημα 7 ημερών το αθλητικό κέντρο του Δήμου Σοφάδων.
Συγκεκριμένα το βράδυ της Τετάρτης 17 Απριλίου 2013, άγνωστοι  εισήλθαν στο εσωτερικό των εγκαταστάσεων του αθλητικού σταδίου και  ανοίγοντας τρύπα στον μαντρότοιχο της αποθήκης, κατέστρεψαν και πήραν μέρος των μεταλλικών κατασκευών των αρμάτων του καρναβαλιού.
Μηνυτήρια αναφορά κατ΄αγνώστων υποβλήθηκε από τον Πρόεδρο του Δ.Ο.Π.Α.Π. Σοφάδων κ. Ευάγγελο Κομπογιάννη ο οποίος δήλωσε για το γεγονός:


«Το φαινόμενο πλέον αποκτά τρομακτικές διαστάσεις καθώς η περιουσία του Δήμου και των Σοφαδιτών γίνεται βορά στις ορέξεις επιτήδειων   κακοποιών οι οποίοι για μερικά ευρώ καταστρέφουν περιουσίες και εξοπλισμό που αποκτήθηκαν μετά από πολλά χρόνια δαπανώντας χρήμα και προσωπική εργασία πολλών συνδημοτών μας.
Η Δημοτική αρχή σε συνεργασία με την Αστυνομία θα κάνει ό,τι είναι δυνατόν έτσι ώστε να περιφρουρήσουν την περιουσία του Δήμου και να πληρώσουν οι υπεύθυνοι
