Άμεση ήταν η κινητοποίηση της Δημοτικής Αρχής έχοντας ως προτεραιότητα την προστασία του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος 
  
Νεκρά ψάρια εντοπίστηκαν στον ποταμό Σοφαδίτη. Από την πλευρά της η Δημοτική Αρχή Σοφάδων ενημέρωσε άμεσα για το γεγονός τις αρχές της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Καρδίτσας και εξέφρασε την έντονη ανησυχία της, ζητώντας να γίνουν οι απαραίτητες αναλύσεις ,έτσι ώστε να εντοπιστούν τα ακριβή αίτια θανάτου των ψαριών.
Όπως έγινε γνωστό, σε συνεργασία με το αρμόδιο τμήμα της Αντιπεριφέρειας θα γίνουν όλες οι προβλεπόμενες διαδικασίες και θα διεξαχθούν οι μικροβιολογικές και τοξικολογικές εξετάσεις των ψαριών, ώστε να εξαχθούν τα ασφαλή συμπεράσματα.
Η Δημοτική Αρχή Σοφάδων αναμένει τα αποτελέσματα των εξετάσεων και δηλώνει αποφασισμένη να κινηθεί προς πάσα κατεύθυνση προκειμένου να διασφαλίσει το φυσικό περιβάλλον και το οικοσύστημα της περιοχής.
