Σήμερα (22-07-2016) το μεσημέρι στους Σοφάδες Καρδίτσας, 93χρονη ημεδαπή βρέθηκε νεκρή μέσα στην οικία της, τυλιγμένη σε κλινοσκεπάσματα και κάτω από το κρεβάτι της, από συγγενικό της πρόσωπο.
Άμεσα μετέβησαν στο σημείο αστυνομικοί του Αστυνομικού Τμήματος Σοφάδων, του Τμήματος Ασφάλειας Καρδίτσας, ιατροδικαστής, καθώς και συνεργεία εγκληματολογικών ερευνών από τη Λάρισα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες ενδείξεις, ο θάνατος της ηλικιωμένης προήλθε από εγκληματική ενέργεια, ενώ διεξάγονται έρευνες για τον εντοπισμό και τη σύλληψη των δραστών. 
Την προανάκριση διενεργεί το Τμήμα Ασφάλειας Καρδίτσας.
