«Δεν θα του κάνουμε το χατίρι του κ. Μητσοτάκη, που ζητάει εκλογές, αν και με συγκινεί ιδιαίτερα η φράση του Κώστα Καραμανλή προς τον Γιώργο Παπανδρέου, ότι ενίοτε τα αιτήματα γίνονται αποδεκτά, γιατί η χώρα χρειάζεται σταθερότητα» είπε ο πρόεδρος των Ανεξάρτητων Ελλήνων, Πάνος Καμμμένος, στη συνέντευξη Τύπου, στο πλαίσιο της επίσκεψης του στην 81η ΔΕΘ.

«Αντέχουμε μέχρι το 2019 και μέχρι το 2023» απάντησε στην ερώτηση αν αντέχει έως το τέλος της τετραετίας η κοινοβουλευτική πλειοψηφία της κυβέρνησης, ενώ για τη συνεργασία με τον Αλέξη Τσίπρα και τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, είπε ότι είναι «άριστη», «έντιμη», ότι έχουν διαφορές, αλλά υπάρχει απόλυτος σεβασμός στις «κόκκινες γραμμές» των δύο πλευρών και ότι τα όποια προβλήματα παρουσιάστηκαν, επιλύθηκαν με τον καλύτερο τρόπο.
