Στις 8.000 ευρώ «κλείδωσε» το ατομικό εισοδηματικό όριο, βάσει του οποίου θα καταβάλλεται επίδομα στέγασης από 1/1/2019, προκειμένου να καλύπτεται μέρος είτε του ενοικίου είτε της δόσης του στεγαστικού δανείου, όπως ανέφερε η αναπληρώτρια υπουργός Κοινωνικής Αλληλεγγύης Θεανώ Φωτίου μετά από τη συνάντησή της με τους θεσμούς.

Το ανώτατο οικογενειακό εισόδημα θα φτάνει στις 24.000 ευρώ, ενώ το ποσό της επιδότησης θα ξεκινά από 70 ευρώ ανά μήνα και θα προσαυξάνεται κατά 50% ανάλογα με τον αριθμό των μελών του νοικοκυριού. Εκτιμάται ότι θα επωφεληθούν περισσότεροι από 1,2 εκατομμύρια πολίτες.
