Ο Δήμος Καρδίτσας δίνοντας έμφαση στην υλοποίηση πολιτικών και δράσεων ενθάρρυνσης της χρήσης του ποδηλάτου και στο πλαίσιο των εκδηλώσεων που υλοποίησε για την ΕΥΡΩΠΑΪΚΗ ΕΒΔΟΜΑΔΑ ΚΙΝΗΤΙΚΟΤΗΤΑΣ συμμετείχε στο Social Biking Challenge.

Μια πρωτότυπη δράση που οργάνωσε φέτος η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή , στοχεύοντας στην προώθηση ενός πιο υγιεινού τρόπου ζωής με την ενθάρρυνση της σωματικής δραστηριότητας και της χρήσης ενός πιο φιλικού προς το περιβάλλον μέσου μεταφοράς, του ποδηλάτου!

Μέσω της δράσης αυτής οι συμπολίτες που δήλωσαν συμμετοχή, χρησιμοποίησαν μια  ηλεκτρονική εφαρμογή για το κινητό τους με την οποία κατέγραφαν για 15 ημέρες τις διαδρομές που έκαναν με τα ποδήλατά τους κερδίζοντας πόντους.

Οι νικητές επιβραβεύθηκαν από το Δήμο Καρδίτσας με συμβολικά δώρα σχετικά με τη χρήση του ποδηλάτου.
