Το Παράρτημα Ρομά του Κέντρου Κοινότητας του Δήμου Καρδίτσας στο πλαίσιο προσπάθειας διάχυσης πληροφοριών αναφορικά με θέματα προαγωγής υγείας των Ρομά, πραγματοποίησε την Τρίτη 24 Απριλίου 2018, ενημερωτική ομιλία στον οικισμό” Μαύρικα”.

Η αναγκαιότητα της δράσης προέκυψε από την απουσία στοιχειωδών γνώσεων του πληθυσμού των Ρομά όσον αφορά θέματα υγείας, υγιεινής και ασφάλειας.

Συγκεκριμένα, η Νοσηλεύτρια του Παραρτήματος, ενημέρωσε το πληθυσμό της κοινότητας, σχετικά με τους τρόπους μετάδοσης και προφύλαξης της ελονοσίας καθώς και για άλλα νοσήματα που μεταδίδονται από κουνούπια.

Τέλος ειπώθηκαν θέματα ατομικής υγιεινής (πλύσιμο χεριών, συστηματική καθαριότητα του σώματος) και επισημάνθηκε η σπουδαιότητα των παιδικών εμβολιασμών. Ανάλογες δράσεις έχουν προγραμματιστεί και για το επόμενο διάστημα μιας και στόχος του Παραρτήματος Ρομά  είναι η ενημέρωση και η πληροφόρηση της ομάδας στόχου για την πρόληψη ασθενειών και την προαγωγή της υγείας.
