Ο γνωστός παρουσιαστής της τηλεόρασης και παλαιός φίλος του Φεστιβάλ Καρδίτσας, Αλέξης Κωστάλας θα βρεθεί στην Καρδίτσα για να παρουσιάσει το 31ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Καρδίτσας που θα πραγματοποιηθεί από 4 έως 13 Ιουλίου 2013 στο THESSALIKO GRAND HOTEL με τη συμμετοχή ελλήνων και ξένων καλλιτεχνών, σολίστ, χορωδιών και συμφωνικών ορχηστρών.
Το φετινό Φεστιβάλ είναι αφιερωμένο στους Κωνσταντίνο Καβάφη (1863-1933) για τα 150 χρόνια από τη γέννησή του, Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) για τα 200 χρόνια από την γέννησή του, Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) για τα 100 χρόνια από την γέννησή του και Richard Wagner (1813-1883) για τα 200 χρόνια από την γέννησή του, τους οποίους τιμά φέτος όλος ο  κόσμος.
Στη διοργάνωση συμμετέχουν η Ιερά Μητρόπολη Θεσσαλιώτιδος και Φαναριοφερσάλων,  η Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Καρδίτσας  (Περιφέρεια Θεσσαλίας)  και   ο Δήμος Καρδίτσας.
Επίσης στο Φεστιβάλ θα παρευρεθεί η γνωστή συγγραφέας Αγγελική Βαρελά.
